I feel like I have SO much to share for todays “Weekend Recap” since Easter was just yesterday and spring is finally in the air! 🙂 I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with family! Its funny because my boyfriend, his family and I planned to go to church together at 7:45 a.m. yesterday and I’ll be honest, I was exhausted from the wedding Saturday that I didn’t think I would wake up in time. So to ensure I would be up, I STAYED up from 5 a.m. until 6:45 a.m. (when we needed to start getting ready). I’ll admit that this is definitely by no means the way to ensure you will make it to church in time … but I was really paranoid that I would accidentally fall asleep through my alarm. I even do this for sunrise sessions so time, which is why I am steering away from sunrise sessions since its obvious that I don’t get much sleep doing this. Haha! Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day to celebrate the reason for the season. Jesus. Because of him, we can live with forgiveness and LIFE! For that, I am forever thankful and blessed!
Here was a little Easter surprise for Nicole & Brian‘s family and friends! Ethan found a surprise from the Easter bunny in one of his eggs! 🙂
He’s going to have a younger SISTER!!!

Generally, I would end the post there … but I have even MORE to share with you all! I have to say that all last week my mom has been super excited for our gathering for Easter and I could not figure out why she was THIS excited! It was all because she had an awesome menu planned out as well as a cute table scape! She was inspired by  “One Good Thing by Jillee”! It sounds like she is a dedicated reader of Jillee’s blog, so I thought I would take photos of what my mom put together for our Easter celebration together. 🙂 Thanks mom for making Easter a big deal! What an amazing day with family!!!
This food was AMAZING! We had Asparagus salad on sprouts along with an amazing scalloped potato …
Then an AMAZING carrot side dish covered in real maple syrup and almonds along with the main dish of ham…
Along with another side dish of brussel sprouts with bacon … and let’s not fogey the dessert I made, apple cake! All AMAZING!
I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter! Looking forward to sharing photos this week of what I’ve been up to last week. 🙂 Have a great Monday!!!
