Jess is free spirited, easy going and beautiful inside and out. It made sense when we started talking about her maternity photos that she wanted a very natural atmosphere in the woods with gorgeous scenery. Before the session, we contacted the fabulous Shelley’s Floral for a beautiful floral crown for this shoot. So appropriate, especially with the AMAZING dress from Sew Trendy!!!! It’s funny because I was looking up inspiration for the floral crown and I noticed that Jess and I picked the same inspiring photo out of coincidence. Meant to be. 🙂 We had everything all set and ready to go for her session … or so we thought. 😉
Little did we know that we would actually get a blizzard on the date we anticipated the session! I contacted Jess just days before her session letting her know about the snow and just threw out the idea that it might be awesome to move forward with our plans, or at least try to. Jess and her mom picked me up in the snow … kind of scary driving on a road with no road in sight, but we made it to Shelley’s house perfectly fine to pick up the crown. At that point, we decided it was too dangerous to make the 30 minute + drive through the snow to our original destination. Instead, we took photos around the florist’s house! Lol! It worked out great after all and definitely the safest plan for us at that point. Jess looked AMAZING in her icy blue dress … coincidentally perfect for the snowy weather! Of course it was appropriate for us to sing “Let it Go” by the end of the session. 😉
Our toes and fingers were cold, but our hearts were so warm from the fun experience! I’m excited to finally share this beautiful maternity session with you all today!!! Thank you Jess for braving the cold and the snow for these photos! You look gorgeous! <3 xoxo!
