As you all saw in my announcement a few weeks ago, I am hosting a Runaway Brides 5k Fun Run for all brides/bridesmaids this April 2nd! I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have this event hosted at a more than perfect venue! If you haven’t checked out Marriott Ranch and you are lover of rustic charm with gorgeous mountain views, you need to visit! It’s a Bed and Breakfast located in the beautiful Hume, Virginia (located in my home county, Fauquier) where you can even make a date with horse back riding through their endless property. Brides and bridesmaids will be able to have a chance to tour through the property as well as a new addition to the venue (!!!) following the fun run! 🙂
When I say it could not have worked out more perfectly, I mean it! When I sat down to meet with Marriott Ranch last month, they told me a while ago they had marked out a 5k course but never used it! Seriously?! SO awesome! I cannot wait for the girls to be able to run/jog/walk (whatever their preference) the course, surrounded by 360 degree mountain views, while interacting in some sort of fun wedding-related activity every half mile! Oh it’s going to be a FUN time!!! I have to admit that I was SO nervous, anxious and excited to plan this event! The idea came to me over a year ago and I felt the need to make this happen to bring something different to the wedding world! All of these mixed feeling set in when I set up a meeting with Marriott Ranch because I knew this meant that things were going to start coming together! AH! 🙂 It went very well so of course I had to do a little happy dance following the gathering!
With the quaint Bed and Breakfast surrounded by cattle and nothing but views, you really feel at ease. I want the the event to feel like a casual destination and make a girls day out of the occasion! At the finish line, there will be vendors in the pavilion where brides and their girls will be able to chat with wedding professionals! 🙂 It’s a great set up for the event between the outdoor and indoor space! Could not be more thankful for Marriott Ranch allowing the Runaway Brides 5k Fun Run to happen there!
