Before we dive into this post, I just have to say that I was not authorized, suggested or paid by HoneyBook to write a review. I just love it THAT much!!! 🙂

If you are a creative of any type and deal with contracts, this post is for YOU! At the end of last year, I quickly became frustrated with my system. Sometimes, we get stuck with our systems and don’t want to think otherwise. However, I knew that I needed to simplify! In order to start the year off on a great note, I wanted to tackle my contract signing/paying method first. I was booking clients just fine before but I just felt like I could bring a better experience to my couples/clients by making it easier for them.

Let me start off by saying that my system before worked, however, I LOST a potential client in November because it wasn’t easy and fast. That’s what we all love in this technically advanced world … Easy, efficient and fast. That was my final straw! I knew I needed to make something happen after knowing there are solutions to this. I was out with my friend Kim from Kim Newton Weddings for a winery date last year when she was telling me about HoneyBook. I was telling her how I have heard raves about 17 Hats (a very similar contract signing application), but she advised that I should look into HoneyBook. The moment I checked it out, the more I was EXCITED to change my old ways and move on with something new and different! There were so many perks to Honey Book that it won my heart over any other competitor!

Here’s an example of what the main workspace looks like! I haven’t transitioned all of my clients over yet since I’ve only been using this since December. Everyone is loving it so far!!!

What are some of the perks that would make you want to switch if you are a creative business owner?!

1) It’s a one-time payment instead of monthly payments! You end up SAVING money over time!!! WIN!

2) You can brand everything on the site so your clients see your logo and photos. Not only is it customizable but it’s personable, appealing and matches the style you want to present to your clients. WIN!

3) The customer service is SUPER FAST! If I ever have a question, I receive feedback almost instantly! WIN!

4) Speaking of the customer service being fast, when I decided I wanted to do this, they asked for my contracts/questionnaires so they can set it up FOR YOU!  By the next day, I had all of my packages, contracts and questionnaires all set up and ready to start booking/signing!!! Talk about easy?!

5) Only 1.5% processing fees!!! DOUBLE WIN for all parties!!!!

6) Automatically sends out reminders for payments so you don’t have to ask. WIN because I sure don’t like asking for money although I have bills to pay. 😉

7) Syncs with Google Calendar! I use my Google Calendar for EVERYTHING when it comes to scheduling so this was definitely a plus for me!

8) Plain and simple … It’s EASY! JACKPOT!

I’ve had new clients tell me how easy and great the process is! I didn’t even ask them what they thought of HoneyBook. I have only been using this system since December and booking has never been so fast and effortless!

Here’s an example of the questionnaire form they fixed up for me! I’m also able to go in and tweak it if I want to add/subtract questions! So awesome and I love the simple design!

So you know what I was doing before? I was having my couples fill out a questionnaire form that I would eventually transfer their answers to an InDesign template. From there, I would export their PDF and send it via email for them to print, sign and send along with a check. Uhhhhh … Why did I wait so long before changing this old-fashioned way? I ask myself this but at the same time, I’m SO thankful I didn’t sign up for any other similar booking tool. HoneyBook is newer compared to the other booking tools but it is so far the best one out there for many reasons listed above. 🙂
