Thinking about how long I have known Casey … Goodness, it goes back to our childhood years! We rode the bus together since she lived around the corner from my parents. To say the least, it has been forever! Now that I live just around the corner from my parents, the drive to Casey’s house was less than five minutes. I say it couldn’t be any better! On my way over to her house, I looked over to find a field of yellow and orange flowers! It was a no brainer to make this happen for some portraits since Casey originally requested wildflower photos! Bingo!!! It was awesome that I didn’t have to plug in her address into my GPS however, I drove up to what I thought was her house and I walked right in after being greeted at the door. Turned out she was next door and I walked into her grandparent’s house. Oops! You would think when you see a line of cars at one house that was the obvious choice. 😉 At least they knew I wasn’t a stranger!
It was obvious how anxious Casey’s dad wanted to see his little girl all dolled up. We had to keep him away from the door until she had her veil on. Haha! Needless to say, it was a very emotional day for both families seeing their son/daughter grown up. Bobby and Casey had a lovely ceremony at the nearby church where they rang the bells of joy following the first kiss as husband and wife! Following the celebratory hugs and kisses, we left from the church to go frolic in the yellow and orange field for a few portraits (so worth the pit stop)! 🙂 After a short drive, we made it to the gorgeous Brandy Hill Farm in Culpeper, Virginia where they made sure to have an epic barn party! An average reception is about four hours and they did not only had a five hour reception, but they used every second of it to boogie down! It was pretty awesome to see the crowd have so much fun thanks to DJ Craig Wood! Then when I thought the party could not get any better, they brought out Casey’s tradition … the Bridal Dance! Each guest had the opportunity to dance with the bride. In order to dance with Casey, they had to pay at least a dollar and take a shot. Everyone formed spinning circles around the bride after they danced with her and Bobby’s mission was to charge through to get his wife! It was pretty awesome! The night eventually came to a close, just when I thought my toes were going to fall off (lol!), with a beautiful sparkler send off. They kissed and left with big smiles from a well spent day with family and friends. <3
Thank you Bobby and Casey for a great time Saturday!!! It was one heck of a barn party I must say! <3 CONGRATS! Enjoy some of my favorites!!!
