It has been two years since Kelly initially contacted me regarding her engagement to Stephen. 🙂 We were in disbelief on Saturday as we talked about where the time went but I’m glad it was finally their time to get hitched! They are just so darn cute together!!! You must remember Stephen and Kelly from their iconic tree engagement photo? Ever since our time together, I have had other couple’s rave about that photo. So funny! Stephen and Kelly are famous! 😉
Stephen, Kelly and I instantly clicked when we met! Together, they are incredibly sweet, humble, loving, caring and so much more! I love how Stephen makes Kelly giggle, smile and even tear up with happiness. It’s absolutely precious!!! I love that they enjoy hiking, tubing and exploring. Instead of taking off for their honeymoon Sunday morning, they decided to enjoy time with family and friends who came from afar to help celebrate the occasion and go tubing down the Shenandoah River. Definitely something I need to do again sometime soon and so wish I could have enjoyed that time with them floating down the river!!! Love that! Another thing I adore about their post-wedding time, Stephen kept the location of their honeymoon as a secret! The funny thing is that he surprised Kelly with a trip to Hawaii and are actually here in Oahu while I’m here for David and Hanaa’s wedding!!! So crazy the timing. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Hoping to see them while we are here less than 20 minutes away from each other!
One funny moment on their wedding day I have to share was during the sunset photos. We all ran out to enjoy the golden light but what really caught me by surprise Kelly’s secret talent. She didn’t tell me she was the horse whisperer!!! Two horses were at the bottom of the hill and after a few whistles and calls, the horses RAN up the hill straight to Stephen and Kelly. A minute later, I looked over to Kelly chatting with one of the horses to see the horse nodding his/her head up and down to her conversation. LOL! She impressed me. Haha! After enjoying some fun photos outside, we came back inside to a true party!!! Khimaira Farm was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day! Between the crazy mountain views, horses and the crazy amount of detail! Every turn you take there is some sort of cute, rustic detail Khimaira Farm put together. After everyone admired the scenery, they were ready to boogie down on the dance floor! I had the best time photographing everyone (including the cat on the dance floor) and know that Stephen and Kelly had the best day. <3
