Devin and Makalea’s engagement session not only kicks off the portrait season, but their anticipated wedding will start the wedding season NEXT MONTH!!! Cannot wait! We met in person for the first time last Friday and I felt as though I have known these two much longer. Together, they are sweet, fun, adventurous and enduring! I was nervous that we chose a location that involved a lot of careful stepping through the rocky terrain, but they did not hesitate at all. It was worth the slow-moving motions as we walked around! I had to especially be careful with my camera equipment walking over the uneven rocks, so I wasn’t able to move like a ninja. 😉 Haha! Makes me think of that hilarious ninja photographer video!
When we were brainstorming possible places to photograph their engagement portraits, Great Falls came to mind because Devin and Makalea consider themselves “National Park junkies.” I love that!!! In fact, Devin ultimately proposed to Makalea while they were traveling across the country, visiting national parks. We enjoyed reminiscing similar adventures through Yosemite and down Route 1, but now they are inspiring me to make travel plans across the country! Their love story goes back even further than I thought because they knew each other in high school! Crazy how their lives came together and now they are getting married in March! 🙂 It’s going to be a beautiful celebration and I am so honored to be a part of this special time!
