Oh man, who is a Bachelor fan?! It has been one of those, “guilty pleasures” for me since … Gosh, I guess Ryan and Trista’s season! Although, I wasn’t technically allowed to watch it when their season first came out. ๐ Here are my thoughts on Nick’s season finale… I have loved Raven from the start, but for some reason, I just don’t see them together. She’s the sweetest girl, though!!! I also chose Vanessa from the beginning, but as the season has progressed, she seems a little too much for Nick. HOWEVER, I also believe the way the Bachelor is filming the series, they want us to think that Vanessa is too much for him and purposefully cut out the “good” in their relationship, unlike what they do with Nick and Raven’s time together. A part of me wants to say that he will probably decline both of the girls and run off with Andi (LOL! Wouldn’t that be ironic?!), but more than likely, I think he will choose Vanessa (even though I favor Raven more!)! We will see!!!! For now,ย I’m hoping this snow storm tonight comes later than expected so the Bachelor festivities can happen. ๐ A couple of my friends and I made shirts for tonight and for every Bachelor/Bachelorette season! SO excited!!!
So, besides getting excited about tonight’s festivities, this weekend was filled with projects! I worked on these shirts above and unfortunately worked on another project I wasn’t anticipating. That time I ordered a cabinet from Wayfair, not realizing I ordered BLACK and not WHITE!ย Long story short, after removing the hugggeeeee box and finally uncovering the cabinet, was the moment I discovered the color. It was too much to think about packaging it up and returning, so I decided the easiest solution was to spray paint. After four cans of spray paint, it’s white!!! ๐ After decorating the house earlier last year, I took a break from spending money on furniture for a year.ย Well, this was the one little corner of the living room I have been dying to fix up! I had board games piled up in a box, and the side table never looked appropriate there. A cabinet was the perfect solution to hide away board games while purposefully designing the space for a completed and uniform look.
Over the weekend, I was able to visit my friend, Penelope, to celebrate her two-year “leg-iversary.” It’s a long story, but we are so glad she is okay and healed! <3 With the wedding season starting soon (like this weekend!!), it was wonderful spending intentional time with friends!
A moment of truth … As you know, for Lent I wrote out instead of reaching for my phone to catch up with emails and social media first thing in the morning, I would instead use that time for the She Reads Truth Lent series. It has been great so far, but I have to admit that I catch myself in the middle of catching up with social media in the morning and then quickly shame myself. It’s a really bad habit, so I’m hoping this season will teach me to be obedient!
One last thing!!! Sorry, it was a busy and productive weekend! ๐ I had the joy of photographing this cute session with Emily and Curtis!! Cannot wait to share more on the blog this week!
HAPPY MONDAY!!!
