Frank & Melanie | The Mill at Fine Creek, Virginia Wedding Photographer

I was fortunate to meet Melanie through one of my dear industry friends, Elle! Turns out that Melanie’s family has been to my family’s farm to watch our 4th of July cannon tradition years ago! It’s very possible that we had hung out when we were younger through mutual friends. This world continues to get smaller as each year passes! I’m so glad Elle connected us because Melanie and Frank are a breath of fresh air! They are fun, unpredictable, spontaneous, playful and so much more! I always have the best time hanging out with them and knew that their wedding would not disappoint. Especially after I met their families at their engagement session over the winter season! 🙂 It was obvious where they got their sense of humor!

I was a little nervous for rain on Saturday, but it always seems to work out. 🙂 It was a bit hot, but I mean, this entire wedding season has been toasty so I’m used to it by now! Haha! I’ve accepted the frizzy hair/washed off makeup look by the end of the day. At least Frank and Melanie looked great every minute of the day! 🙂 They had countless fun details throughout the wedding, one of which, Melanie had two unique looks! *Girl, rock it!!* She admitted to me during her engagement session that she can be indecisive when it comes to things like dresses and rings. 😉 More fun details for me to photograph! Haha!

Frank and Melanie were after a southern wedding, and you can see that southern charm in these photographs. LOVE! From the monogrammed ribbon around Melanie’s bouquet to the ceremony set up with magnolia leaves against the stone mill, I’m obsessed! The reception only got better as they had a caricature artist, cigar bar, photo booth and so many tasty treats!! Their guests were set for hours of entertainment! One cute detail I loved (naturally) was the cat cookies on the side of the cake representing their two kitties. 🙂 So cute to have them there in spirit at the wedding! Everyone partied the night away and said goodbye to the newlyweds waving their sparklers high up in the air as they left in an antique car. I could have easily photographed this day over and over again! Beautiful from start to finish. 🙂
