A day late on this post, but I’m catching up with the “Weekend Recap!” A lot is going on at the moment, all great things of course, but I’m trying to soak in every last minute of the “summer break” before the fall wedding season begins this weekend. 🙂 I’ve been able to take a step back this month from regularly photographing sessions/weddings to enjoy a little personal time with Julien, family, and friends!
First of all … GAME OF THRONES. Are you a fan? If you haven’t seen it and think it’s just another fantasy show, it’s so much more than that! Even my grandparents watch the show, which I feel like speaks volumes of the series. 😉 To celebrate the season finale, I made “White Walker” drinks! Lol! Thanks, Pinterest!!! It was appropriate, especially watching the last episode. Although, I have to admit that my favorite episode of the series is last season’s finale. The music, suspense, chaos was so well played! Now that the season is done, I guess it’s time to re-watch the entire collection from the beginning again! Haha!
People have been asking what I have been up to besides business work. As you know, I LOVE DIY projects, designing and decorating. My boyfriend, Julien, and his friends, Jeremy and Carlyle, bought a flipper house and they so graciously brought me in to help them with some projects! I think I found my second calling! 😉 I’m having a BLAST demoing, brainstorming and designing with them! It looks like there might be a fixer upper project of my own in the near future! 😉 Here’s a little preview of the kitchen and master bathroom in their flipper house! It’s going to be STUNNING when it’s done!!! Stay tuned when this charming modern farmhouse comes on the market in the Marshall area because I know it will sell quickly!
And a quick shout out to Julien — He continues to amaze me with his talents and work ethic! I’ve seen him in the flipper house take a potential problem and figure out a solution. I have enjoyed watching him show off his handyman skills! I’ll be sure to share more of that on my Instagram stories. 🙂
KITCHEN BEFOREDemo Day!!!Current State — They hit the jackpot with HARDWOOD floors under the vinyl floors!!! What has been done so far? Took out all of the old appliances, cabinets, wooden beams, the vent box around the ceiling perimeter and installed new drywall. So much more to do, but it’s looking GREAT, right?!MASTER BATHROOM BEFORE (originally a closet)Current state — Yes, this is the same window as shown above! 🙂 What’s different so far? New drywall, took out the closet door and made a new opening, plumbing, a SHOWER (!!!), vent, electricity, and windows. Again, more to do, but the kitchen and the master bathroom are my favorite transforming rooms so far!! Too excited to not share with you all!
Be on the look out for more updates soon! The flipper house is always changing every week, and I know they are excited to finish the work and hand the keys to the perfect homeowner, hopefully, this fall!! 🙂
Happy Tuesday!!
