Saturday was FINALLY the day Eric and Tracy tied the knot!!! So let me tell you all about the day from my perspective, along with the photos below! 🙂 Not too long after I walked onto the Mount Vernon grounds, I found Tracy standing close to the George Washington painting holding a hilarious, yet natural, stance. Apparently, this isn’t the first time she has whipped out this pose. Her best friend, MOH, started laughing and they told me how the pose became a thing in their friendship. Basically, Tracy is super fun, especially when she has some liquid courage to reenact George Washington. Lol! It was very appropriate that Eric and Tracy chose Mount Vernon as their wedding venue. 😉

After Eric and Tracy were all dolled up, they decided to have a first look, especially when we figured there wouldn’t be enough light for their portraits if they waited until after the ceremony. I’m so glad they did this because it was every bit of sweet and emotional!!! As soon as Eric turned around to see his bride, he immediately brought his hands to his eyes and cheeks in disbelief. It got me teary eyed witnessing the moment!!! It’s funny to think back to where their story began … Read it HERE … Eric has been set on Tracy since day one. 🙂

As we walked around the Mount Vernon Inn & Resturant vicinity for photo ops, we noticed we had a little bit of a crowd watching Eric and Tracy. They looked like pros out there! In fact, they were great sports because one random girl came up to them and asked for a selfie. Lol! Kind of hilarious, so I had to include that moment below. 😉

Soon after, we were off to the ceremony! Guests came early for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. I knew this crowd was a party crowd when Eric came into the ceremony and everyone started clapping and cheering for him! Lol! Then the “ring security” ring bearers came in, and everyone couldn’t help but laugh! They were SO in character!!! What a creative and fun idea! 🙂 As soon as Tracy made her way up to the altar, the pastor asked them about their intentions, and before he had the opportunity to finish, she immediately replied with “I DO!” The crowd burst into laughter — I think they were ready to be Mr. and Mrs.!!! 😉 Not long after, they were pronounced as husband and wife, and they were off to celebrate!!

If you couldn’t tell, I think they love purple. 😉 So appropriate for a fall wedding! I loved the bouquet with the pops of purple, whites, and greens! The cake was another favorite detail of mine, and I’m sure everyone else! It was unique and so perfect for Eric and Tracy! It was funny when it was time to cut it, the “ring security” boys broke out into a dance from a requested song. I cannot quite remember the name of the song, but it was something like “peanut butter and jelly time!” It was cute and really set the tone for the dance party! I mean, even Eric and Tracy couldn’t help but dance with them in front of everyone! So cute!!

The toasts were sweet, sentimental and funny! Eric’s brother got the entire (or most of the reception) to sing the Redskins song! HTTR! 😉 Tracy’s mom got up and spoke from her heart — She’s a proud mother-in-law because when Eric initially asked her for her blessing, he asked her if she would be his mother-in-law. 🙂 Just let my heart melt now… Haha! I love them!!!

Oh, now the fun part … The dance party was a blast!!! The DJs handed out glow sticks and fun things for everyone to move around and enjoy every minute on the dance floor! And believe me, people were on the dance floor from the second it opened up to the moment the reception ended!! There was even a mini dance-off! I was impressed by the breakdancing… Whew! I can imagine how hard that must be! At the end of the night, family and friends came up to Eric and Tracy to hug and wish them the best for their future. They are perfect for each other, and I’m so honored to have been a part of their day!!
