This week has been the week of rain!!! Haha! But that’s okay because I love the even lighting, anyways!! 🙂 When planning a portrait session, if the weather forecasters are predicting rain, we talk about a backup rain date. I mean, if you have the option of not photographing portraits in the rain, the majority of the time, we will opt for another day! Of course, though, sometimes the forecast isn’t 100% accurate. On my way to the Leonard family session last week, I went through a rainstorm and questioned why did the forecasters let me down? Lol! Fortunately, it was short-lived, and FORTUNATELY, the rain we experienced during the session was sparse. Yay! AND because of the rain clouds, we ended with a GORGEOUS sunset! It seems like this family makes a marvelous glowy light happen every time we photograph family portraits together! Thanks, Leonard family!! 😉
This was my first time meeting their newest addition, Parker, and he was a cutie pie!! And how could I forget how ADORABLE their oldest son, Mason, is?! That cute smile and laugh get me every time! 🙂 I didn’t realize it at first, but when I wanted to take photos of Parker, that little stinker moved FAST. I’m not kidding … In some of these pictures, Parker’s parents would have to hold him and then run away while Parker ran full speed towards my camera like it was a race! HA! So my finger was trigger happy trying to capture a good photo of him. It was pretty comical. 🙂
So like I mentioned above, we were dealing with a little rain here and there, so as we were finishing photos by the “Hobbit Door,” I looked up and saw the sunset glow! I immediately told them, “We have to go!!!” Lol! I’m glad they trusted me because we all ran a marathon to catch the sunset! Talk about a workout full speed up a hill. 😉 I’m so happy they were enthusiastic about it as much as I was because we were out of breath trying to dive right back into picture-taking. HA! What troopers!!
Thank you, Leonard family, for having me document your family portraits at the beautiful Stone Tower Winery!!! I had the best time catching up with you all and enjoying the sunset! Enjoy this preview of our time together!!!
