This blog week will be short and sweet because I’m heading out of town for the next couple of weeks. π It’s my last bit of traveling before the official wedding season kicks off the end of this month!! And boy, I cannot WAIT for the upcoming adventures! π Alex is moving down to Florida the end of next month (cue the crying now), so we are heading out of town later this week to check out his new home base! SO EXCITED!!! <= That’s an understatement. I cannot wait to spend quality time with him and his family while exploring the area. π After I return, I’ll be home long enough to photograph an elopement and then I’m off to photograph my sweet friend, Jess, and her adorable family in Vegas!! I also cannot wait for hiking adventures and girl time. π So much to look forward to, and I’m going to soak up every moment during this month because it’s going to fly by fast!!!
Speaking of time flying, this Easter weekend flewwwww by so fast! I don’t have many “free” weekends throughout the year, so when I do, I make sure to spend it with great company! Some of my best friends were in town over the weekend, so I’m glad my schedule allowed quality time with them. π Also, Ollie had the best time exploring Morais Vineyards … He loves visiting wineries. π My kind of pup! HA! If you haven’t been, you HAVE to try out Morais’ wine slushy!!! OHHHH MY GOSH! The best!
Did we really just celebrate Easter yesterday? I think it’s so appropriate that Easter occurred on April Fools day because it’s the best prank ever in history for Jesus to say, “Just kidding, I’m not dead at all, but in fact ALIVE!” HAHA! I love that Easter brings together family and friends, yummy food, pretty tulip flowers, springy home decor … delicious bunny chocolates … BUT, let’s put details aside and not forget the real reason why we gather. JESUS HAS RISENΒ and is alive in and through us!!! That’s amazing!!! I’m so grateful for this life and His unconditional love. I feel so undeserving of it, and it’s incomprehensible. Every year, I’m reminded of Chris Tomlin’s song, Amazing Grace.
“My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace.”
Amen!!!!
While enjoying the Easter weekend, my sister and I had a little laugh because we both made carrot cupcakes, but in VERY different ways. I went for the “all natural/raw” route. Can you guess which one that is in the photo below? π HAHA! Very minimal ingredients with natural sweeteners using dates, and surprisingly, you wouldn’t be able to tell it wasn’t baked or made without flour if you added cream cheese frosting on top! I was pleased and impressed. π If you’re interested in checking out the recipe, check it out HERE!!! I loved spending quality time with family and I’m very grateful for a home to host/create memories with them. π
Also, I had to include this photo of Ollie because … Well, A) it’s Ollie B) he’s adorable C) he’s growing up soooo fast and D) he’s getting REALLY good at the sad puppy face! I had to take a photo after I told him he couldn’t tear up my rug. “Okay, okay, tear up my rug if you’re going to give me that look!!!” π π π
I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and a great start to your work week!!! <3
