Where do I begin … Over two years ago, Morgan initially reached out to me regarding her spring 2018 wedding. It was pretty far out, but we immediately hit it off with our love for wedding venues with mountain views! Hence why they ultimately chose Marriott Ranch. 😉 Little did I know that our initial connection would blossom into something much more than just a business friendship! Since then, we have gotten together many times for winery dates, dinner parties, horse races and much more! I had no idea that when they contacted me in April 2016 about their May 2018 wedding, I wouldn’t just be photographing clients, but genuine friends. 🙂 And now neighbors!!!! At one of our more recent winery hangouts, Tim and Morgan were telling me their house hunting adventures around the area. I told them all about the process of building my house and just days after, they said me they were looking in my neighborhood!! 🙂 They are in the process of officially becoming neighbors of mine and I’m ecstatic! Especially if they get a Franny pup. HAHA! I’m glad our adventures didn’t end on their wedding day because I anticipate more wine and dinner parties in the near future. 🙂
Now that you’ve heard a little backend story let’s fast forward to Saturday! AKA, the “Other royal wedding Prince Harry and Meghan wish they were invited!” 😉 Haha! Every day last week leading up to the big day called for rain. Morgan texted me saying she was working on her sunshine/no rain dance. Ha! Regardless, I knew that no matter if it rained or not, it wasn’t going to stop this celebration from being as joyful/happy as what I witnessed on Saturday. Although we did experience a drizzle throughout the ceremony, it was definitely a “good luck” sign! 🙂 Especially since it didn’t downpour on us. That would have been a different story!!
The day started with Morgan and the girls getting hair and makeup done at the beautiful HGTV styled farmhouse. Morgan left the dress hanging as she was prepping to see her hubby, and I loved that we all got to admire it every time we passed by the room. 🙂 But goodness, once she got into the dress, she looked like a princess!! I know Tim thought the same when he finally got to see her during their first look! The way they look at each other makes my photographer heart SO happy!!! But I really loved that glitter in their eyes during the ceremony. <3 Surrounded by family and friends, they tied the knot for the second time. The first time happened in an intimate setting before Tim was deployed, but they wanted to make sure to have a big celebration with family and friends this time around. And it was perfect!!!
On a personal and funny note, we were on our way to the reception when a big bug flew right into my eye!!! I was blinded for a few minutes trying to get it out. And gosh, I’m grateful for friends who are understanding and willing to help me retrieve the stinker out!!! At least we can laugh about it now because my eye makeup was completely off from the involuntary tears! Haha!! But then it was officially party time!!! 🙂 I enjoyed running around the dance floor seeing Tim joking around with friends and Morgan BEAMING with the biggest smile on her face. Although, not surprising at all because she is miss sunshine, which is pretty evident in these photos! I adore these two and was honored to have gained close friends throughout the process. <3
Thank you, Tim and Morgan, for your friendship. I’m so incredibly grateful my business connected us!! Your friendship means so much to me and I love all of the memories we have shared together over the past years of knowing each other. I look forward to more horse races together and wine dates with you!!! Love you both and congrats!!!! Enjoy this preview from your wedding day!! XOXO!
Thanks to Morgan’s brother for helping with the dress and veil!!! Haha!
