If you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m starting to advertise my services in Destin / Panhandle area of Florida! I’ll be offering wedding, engagement, anniversary, maternity and family portraits, and I’m SO excited that the beach will be a popular destination!!! The sunsets are incredible over the Gulf, the sand is WHITE (great natural reflector), and the water is as blue as can be!! It’s incredible!!!! I’ve been exploring the area for photo opportunities and started networking with locals. I’m excited to take my business down south in the future!!! Don’t worry, Virginia, I’m still here and still plan to travel back and forth between the two locations!ย ๐ Right now, my heart is down in Florida. <3
During my last Florida visit, Alex connected me with so many of his new friends! He’s seriously the best!!! I love how involved he is with his new community, and I appreciate the fact that he wanted me to be a part of the crew. Everyone is sooooย nice, and I’m even more excited for my next visit!!! One particular couple Alex introduced to me the first evening I arrived after my road trip was Bobby and Dominique! I had heard so many great things about them, especially since Alex met Bobby last year during their rotation at the Eglin hospital and became instant friends! When I met Bobby and Dominique, I immediately appreciated their outgoing personalities and sense of humor. ๐ It was also fun getting to know them because of being in the wedding industry, I can talk about all things wedding, and it turned out that they recently got married in their hometown, Chicago! It was fun comparing what the norm is up there compared to Virginia weddings!! I cannot wait to hang out with them soon with a glass of wine and have a photography viewing party from their wedding day!!! ๐
During my week of visiting Alex, I had the advantage of flexible time! In between emails and working around Alex’s house while he was at work, Dominique and I were able to get together and hang out. First of all, getting out of the house at least once a day is necessary. Secondly, it’s even better when you have a friend to hang out who lives just around the corner! One day while out shopping, Dominique introduced me to Hobby Lobby … UHHHH … HELLLLLO! Where have I been my entire life?! I had to hold myself back from buying a ton of decor I don’t need right now. ๐ Haha! If you haven’t discovered the amazingness of Hobby Lobby, make plans to do it this week and you won’t regret the trip!!! I promise. ๐ Cannot wait for my next visit NEXT WEEK (YAYAYAY!) to work on other DIY projects around Alex’s place and spruce it up to be a very quaint, homey environment. A girl’s trip to Hobby Lobby might have to happen. ๐
I’m very fortunate to have gained beautiful friends during my recent visit, thanks to Alex!! ๐ While we were hanging out on the beach, I told Bobby and Dominique about my plans to advertise my services down in the Destin/Panhandle area of Florida. They recently went through a lot of change, from getting married to moving their entire life down to Florida. What’s the best way to celebrate this new chapter? Newlywed portraits on the beach! ๐ We were all excited to make these portraits happen!! I’m grateful for beautiful models to play around on the beach … But gosh, even in our short amount of time together photographing this session, they were photogenic from the first click of the shutter!! I can only imagine what shooting during sunset would be like. I cannot wait to make that happen in the future! ๐
