It’s that time of the year where you’re going to see a lot of family portraits on the blog as we gear up for the Holiday season. Don’t hate, but I just bought another Christmas candle this morning after a sunrise session, and I’m currently listening to Christmas music as I put together this blog post. 😉 You better believe a cup of hot cocoa is happening at some point on this chilly, rainy day! I love this time of the year!!!
I love this season too for the fact that my business gives me the opportunity to connect with so many beautiful families!!! I had the honor of meeting the lovely Burleson family yesterday for their portraits around their GORGEOUS property. 🙂 It was not only fun photographing them while admiring their farm/views, but it was great getting to know them during our short time together. I could easily see myself enjoying a glass of wine with them by their outdoor fireplace chatting away. 🙂 They are a great, personal, and beautiful family!!! After checking out their farm, it’s hard to believe that Jessica grew up in Queens, New York!!! I love it! So much to appreciate out in the quiet countryside. <3 They have quite the herd on their farm between the cows (including babies!!!), three dogs, a well-fed kitty, a donkey (Albert!!), three goats (named after chocolates <- love their style!), and possibly more that didn’t come out to say, “Hi!” I love that they wanted to incorporate all of their babies in their family portraits because the farm life is their life! After working many years in the city, this dream is a reality, and that is so inspiring. 🙂
Speaking of family portraits, Jessica and Randall admitted to not having family portraits since the kids were little! Isn’t it crazy how fast time slips away from us?! Even for my own family with my parents and siblings, it has been years! I’m so glad the Burleson family was inspired to take updated family portraits this year. 🙂 I have so many favorites from our time together, and enjoyed it when the animals decided to photobomb!!! HA! They loved their close up time with the camera as well. 😉 They care so much for their children, as well as their pets, and I loved capturing all of the shared love around the farm!!! It’s so nice that Zach and Katy can create fun memories around the property because it’s something they will appreciate when they grow up. 🙂 I know I appreciate growing up on a dairy farm when I was younger because I have so many fun memories chasing cows … I mean, feeding cows … 😉 … and just being a kid with an imagination outside! Speaking of being young, I hope my future kids think the same thing Zach and Katy thought in the last photo until they are at least 18. 😉 HAHA! You have to check out the final shot of the evening because I get a kick every time!!! To say the least, yesterday was very entertaining!
Thank you, Burleson family, for having me come out and photograph you all during this beautiful time of the year!!! I had the best time getting to know you, and hope you enjoy these documented moments as much as I do! XOXO!!!
