Since I spent all day yesterday trying to get back to VA (I say trying because there was a delay at the airport that took us forever to get back home), so I’m starting my work week today as if it was Monday. 😉 There’s a LOT to catch up as I’m diving into a pretty crazy week full throttle, but I’m going to make it happen. 🙂 Can I rewind time and go back to Mexico?! I heard when traveling somewhere, you really need a full two weeks to hit relaxation mode. I cannot even imagine what two full weeks out of work feels like, but hopefully, Alex and I will experience that for our honeymoon later this year!!! 😉 I’m so grateful for the little time away I had this past weekend, though! I took some time to read, lay out in the sunshine, and clear my head from everything on my to-do list. I cannot wait to see my list check off as the weeks continue to pass by! Anyways, check out what I’ve been up to the past week. 🙂

CONTRACT PENDING
This exciting news!!! I have a contract on my house! AH!!! An inspection happened over the weekend which means things are happening over here at the Messick residence! But I also know that anything can happen — I will be accepting backup offers in case this contract falls through. But hopefully, everything will go as according to plan!

I LOVE MY COUPLES!!!
Seriously. I couldn’t love my “job” more!!! Last week, Rhett, Caroline, and I had to hike down a steep pathway to get to our destination and Caroline did it not only in a dress but in heels! You go, girl!!!! Love my adventurous couples. 🙂 And couples who love tequila in honor of being in Mexico! HA! I got to hang out with Ashely and Taylor for their pre-wedding celebration, and it was great getting to know the entire fiesta crew before photographing them the next day. They were a FUN bunch!!!!!

CINCO DE MAYO IN MEXICO!
I love fun couples and I really love couples who love to travel! Taylor and Ashley had a Cinco de Mayo wedding in Cancun — A dream come TRUE!!! Give me all of the Pina Coladas, Guacamole, and tacos, please!!! 😉 It was so lovely to have a little relaxation time mixed in! This hammock was my favorite spot at the Royalton Riviera Maya!
The rooms were incredible!!! Somehow, I got lucky enough to have a complimentary upgrade! I thought there was a mix up upon check in!!! <3 It was a fantastic experience!!!
I don’t know how many grams of sugar I drank/ate (I didn’t hold back on the Pina Coladas because Alex told me to drink some Pinas for him — So I took that literally ;)), but this scale was not welcomed in the room!!! HA!
Of COURSE, I had to have a margarita in honor of being in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo weekend! But I quickly changed back to the Pinas. 😉 HA! And even though I took some time to relax, you better believe I kept up with an active lifestyle over the weekend! Whew! Taylor and Ashley’s wedding was SOOOOO much fun to photograph (just wait till you see the fiesta!! HA!), but I was exhausted by the end of the night! Especially seeing the numbers on my Apple Watch!
I was in fruit, guacamole, cheese heaven every single day. YUM. Also, I finished reading the Meaning of Marriage while I was in Cancun … SO SO SO GOOD. Whether you are single, engaged, or married, it is hands down one of the best books I could’ve read going into my marriage with Alex. <3 Next book on my list? Present over Perfect!!!Â
