Well, it has been a hot minute since I last wrote a “Coffee Talk Monday” post… To be honest, it has been a pretty tough, stressful season only because I set the bar for myself HIGH. The great thing, though, is that every time I step behind my camera, my energy is refueled!!! I passionately love what I do and I love that my couples inspire me every time. <3 I have three more weddings left this month and then I’m off until August! July will be spent settling into my new Florida home with my HUBBY! Ah!!! Gosh, everything feels like a dream right now. I just cannot WAIT to see Alex NEXT WEEK!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

SEVEN YEARS!!!!!!

I. CANNOT. BELIEVE. THIS. The other day, someone asked me how long I’ve been in business and it dawned on me that June 1st was my SEVENTH BUSINESS ANNIVERSARY!! No way. It has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I love how God carved the path to this career that brings so much joy to my life. It may be hard and stressful at times, especially when I set high expectations for myself, but it’s all in love why I set them high. I want the very best for my couples and lifestyle clients. <3

Starting very soon, my business will never look quite the same as it does now. I’m going from a very high paced lifestyle photographing weddings every weekend in the spring/fall seasons, but moving down to Florida is changing everything! It will be an adjustment for me, but the Virginia weddings I have booked will keep me plenty busy in the future. 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing how God works through this next chapter of my life with Alex by my side. <3

MY VERY OWN BRIDAL SHOWER?!?! IS THIS REAL LIFE?!

I wasn’t quite sure this was going to happen with the craziness of life going on… But my sister managed to pull this off and it was everything and more I dreamt of!! I need to do a blog feature of this fun event!!! I had the best time and I am so grateful for everyone who came out yesterday. <3 A special thanks to my sister (MOH) and my mother for hosting … AND another special thanks to Shelley’s Floral for the INCREDIBLE flowers!!!! She NAILED it with my favorite flowers… PEONIES! I was in heaven! She even made a very special floral crown for me to wear. 🙂 🙂 🙂 AH! It was amazing!!!!

How amazing is this quilt my mom made for Alex and me?! WOAH. AMAZING!!!

And how precious are our ring bearers?! They were the stars of the show yesterday and I LOVED it!!! I’m laughing just thinking about how darn cute they were. 🙂 And they wanted front row seating while I opened gifts. HAHA! 

After 4-hours of sleep, those frozen spoons helped my puffy eyes. HA!

Also, for those who are asking, I got my dress from one of my FAVORITE places — Vici Collection!!!!

TREATS FOR EVERYONE!

Now that I’m about to move, I’m starting to square away my gratitude to those who have made my life so much more manageable. Like my sweet neighbors who love Ollie so well or my other friendly neighbor who mows my lawn every week — I’ve been a cookie baking/thank you card writing machine this past week! I even tried baking cookies for the appraiser who came to my house today, but that was a fail. He arrived just when I put them in the oven and he left by the time they were about done. HA! So I guess “treats for everyoneeeee” isn’t accurate for this post. 😉 BUT Ollie got a special ice cream treat the other day after we visited the vet for updated shots! The things we do for our fur children… 🙂

SCARY STORMS!!!

My wedding venue just posted this photo on their !!! SO SCARY! I’m not the biggest fan of storms and we have had a lot of scary ones lately. And just when I thought I was good moving down south, I’m moving to one of the stormiest areas with optimal hurricane potential. GREAT. It looks like if I want to live somewhere with zero chance of a tornado, I only have two state options — Hawaii or Alaska. Geez.
