I’m typing this blog post from Virginia! Ollie and I spent 14-hours last Thursday driving back to my home town for our first business trip after moving down to Florida. It’s a busy week with two weddings and four portrait sessions, but I am so grateful that we also get to use this time to see family and friends, despite being away from the love of our life! This past week wasn’t super eventful considering it was a lot of time on the road, including another 4-hours south to photograph a wedding in VA Beach, but life is never dull that’s for sure! 😉 Let’s catch up with what happened the past week!!! 🙂

BACHELORETTE FINALE

Who watched the season finale on the Bachelorette?! Somehow, they always manage to make it “the most dramatic season EVER.” 😉 HA! I was surprised how the finale panned out, but I have to say that the festivities watching it was fun with plenty of mimosas, goodies, and great conversations! I mean, the show is basically an excuse to get girlfriends together to have a great time anyways. 😉

FAMILY AND FRIEND TIME!

Living in a vacation spot in Florida isn’t bad at all! My sweet friend, Rachel, and her family came down to FL this past week which made it the perfect opportunity to hang out. 🙂 Because my life looks a lot different now that I’m living in a different state, I’m able to take some time to see family and friends who come down to visit! <3 LOVE IT!!!

So while my VA friend came down to visit FL, just days later I hopped into my car to head to VA! My sister celebrated her 30th Birthday and I’m so glad I was able to join my family for a night out with great food, drinks, and conversations! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMANDA!!!

BESTIE TIME!

I haven’t been in VA for long (long enough to photograph a wedding this past weekend and celebrate my sister’s Bday), but I made sure to build in time for Ollie to visit his very best friend (Obi) in my old neighborhood! He was one HAPPY pup yesterday!!! 🙂 And he’s also sporting his new collar! I surprised Alex with a Nats dog tag too! <3

WE MISS ALEX!!!!!!!!!!!

As Alex grabbed me in tightly for a hug right before I left for VA last Thursday, reality set in that this is our new lifestyle. I had a strategy of booking two consecutive weekends a month so I could stay for a week at a time to take care of business. It totally works and I love that I have the opportunity to stay connected with family, friends, and vendors! However, it has only been a few days and we cannot wait to get back to our love on Sunday … Just in time for his Birthday!!! <3
