OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY! <3

WHAT A SUPER FUN LONG WEEKEND!!! I cannot believe a whole year flew by since our wedding day. UNREAL. So much happened the past 365 days, and I fall more and more in love with my best friend as our relationship/marriage deepens and grows every day. <3

We originally planned to go to the Smoky Mountains for our anniversary, but the pandemic had different plans for us! So we had to improvise… And when I say, “we,” I mean Alex! Haha! He took Ollie and me on a fun 5-mile hike along the Blackwater River… Ollie LOVED it! Over the weekend, he surprised me by road-tripping to some SUPER cute southern Alabama towns, Magnolia Springs and Fairhope, with a reservation at a very popular restaurant, Jesse’s! We had the absolute BEST time exploring new areas that transformed us back to our Charleston mini-moon. 🙂 To cap off our little anniversary vacation weekend, we spent time at the prettiest beach in our town and walked 3-miles talking about the past year. I love doing life with Alex and cannot wait to start a new adventure as parents in December!!!

THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

TRAVEL BAN

Well, I might have complained about this a time or two on the blog, but this is DEFINITELY a “bitter memory.” Haha! The Air Force has active-duty members here on base restricted to not sleep outside of our own home. Despite the restriction, this didn’t stop us from exploring news areas for our anniversary adventure weekend! 🙂 But we REALLY hope the ban is lifted on June 30th with no plans to extend!!! Here’s to hoping!!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!!
