What a week! It might not look like it was busy, but I was busy photographing vacationers. 🙂 If I’m not photographing weddings, I’m at least grateful to photograph portrait sessions in the meantime. A nice way to stay busy during this season! But… That is changing NEXT WEEK!!! 🙂 I’ll be heading up to Virginia on Monday to photograph Lauren + Keith’s AND Lauren + Kyle’s weddings!!! I cannot wait to get back at it again. 🙂 I have a couple more tourist sessions to photograph this week and then I’ll be preparing for my trip. I cannot wait!!!! Although, I’m going to miss my better half while I’m on my business trip… On the flip side, we had so much unexpected quality time this year which was SO nice and needed!!! 🙂 Check out what happened this past week before I take off to VA next week for two weeks!

WE ARE HAVING A…
With COVID changing so many business plans as well as the “typical pregnancy,” we are having to learn to be flexible. Due to the timing I’m heading to VA to photograph weddings, I’m not able to have my anatomy scan done on base (where Alex is able to slip into the appointments). So they had to refer me off base where Alex is not allowed to be present. We were bummed knowing that we couldn’t be in the appointment together and find out the gender. SOOOOO… Sneaky Alex surprised me with a gender reveal scan on Wednesday where both of us were allowed to attend the appointment!!! NOW IT’S REAL. <3

THE FLORIDA LIFE
It’s crazy how different this year looks compared to what it was supposed to look like! Boy, did COVID put a number on my schedule!!! But I’m appreciating this family time with Alex. <3 I love seeing him play with gardening and constantly encourage me in my business while things shift around. Ollie is enjoying this nesting phase a little too much too… The vet told me he needs to lose 8-pounds. So our walks will be much earlier or later in the day so he can last through this heat!! 🙂

THE NOT SO IDEAL FLORIDA LIFE…
What comes with living in this area? Hmmm… HUGE palmetto bugs that are too big to fit in a Bugzooka!!! Gosh, they are freaky insects. And we have our home sprayed for those suckers and they won’t disappear from Florida! Haha! Also… I learned my lesson after trying to conceal the dinner remains from ribs last week… The bear got into our trash (even with the bear locks!!)! YUCK! The crazy part was it happened before 9 p.m. when I got home from a session… That’s not terribly late!
Happy Monday, everyone!!
