There are some occasions when we can work around the rain and other times we have to push forward. Being that this was Sarah and her family’s last day in Grayton Beach, we decided to go for it! 🙂 Even if that meant huddling under a palm tree to avoid the downpouring rain for these portraits. HAHA! Fortunately, Grayton Beach on 30A had the ideal photographer set up in this case! There was a pavilion next to the beach access point with a palm tree! I had the family (as well as my camera gear) under the pavilion and photographed everyone under the palm tree. 🙂 It worked out in our favor to have a tropical vibe in their portraits without throwing them on the beach to battle the conditions. 😉
Considering I had a large family to photograph on a limited timeline, I wanted to be as efficient as possible while keeping everyone comfortable. That could have been a HUGE challenge, considering it was literally DOWNPOURING during their session. Fortunately, we had a break at the VERY last minute from the downpour. We took advantage of it, despite the windy conditions, and made a break for the beach!!! We all laughed as we were walking/running back to our cars because our hair was out of control. It was wild that we actually got any photos during our time together!! HAHA! What made me laugh, though, was seeing the little girls with bright blue tongues sticking out. 🙂 Maybe they knew we would do a silly group photo and thought the blue tongues would add another element of silliness?! Haha! It’s cute!! They were such a precious bunch with the cutest clothing options! I’m now on the hunt for a cute little boy romper after photographing their sweet little boy! 🙂 I hope to see this family again in the near future … hopefully, on a dry day. Haha!!!
