Dillon and Ginny planned their wedding to happen in the beautiful wine country of Virginia just two days after this session. So for their engagement portraits, they were looking for a location that was sentimental to them! Since they live in DC, that location ended up being around the Washington DC monuments!! Dillon and Ginny weren’t necessarily in a rush to have photos done, thankfully, since the pandemic threw a wrench into the plans!! But fortunately for them, they were still able to have these precious memories documented just days before their wedding. 🙂 I’m so glad I was still able to be their engagement photographer and photograph them in Washington DC!
Together, they are one adorable bunch, especially with their pup, Piper!! And to look THAT good at sunrise… I don’t know how they managed!!! Haha! I know I had to pick up some PSL on the way to their session. 😉 I loved getting to know them on a more personal level during our time together. Ginny is a sweetheart, and Dillon’s sarcasm reminded me so much of my brother! Haha! But despite the early rise, it seemed like they had just as much fun as I did. 🙂 And Piper had a great time as you’ll notice the BIG smile on her golden retriever face!! Maybe she was just excited that she was included in the shoot? Or the fact that her mom and dad were tying the knot in a couple of days? Haha! Anyways, I have so many favorites from our time together, and I’m so honored to share these pretties with you all today!!!
Their Love Story
Even though Dillon is from Dallas, TX and Ginny is from Raleigh, NC, it was all thanks to Hilton for connecting these two. 🙂 After developing a friendship, they started dating, which then turned into talks about the future. A year of long-distance dating helped strengthen their relationship, focusing their attention on relying on verbal communication. After yearssss of dating, Dillon wanted to make their future dreams come true! So during the family tradition of vacationing in Hilton Head, they took a bike ride on the beach. It was on that bike ride that Dillon got down on one knee to ask for Ginny’s hand in marriage. 🙂 Well, and you can guess what she said because I’ll be sharing their wedding day on the blog this week!!! Hehe!
THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you, Dillon and Ginny, for giving me the pleasure of photographing these sweet moments!!! And just days before your wedding day! What a great way to kick off the celebrating. <3 It was so great having the time to get to know each other in person before the big day. It was a perfect way to spend an early morning as you made our time together so fun and effortless! 🙂 Thank you for everything!!! Enjoy looking through some of my many favorites from our time together around the Washington DC monuments!!! XOXO!!!
