Wedding ceremonies last year looked a lot different than years prior. Some couples cut down their attendance, nixed the wedding party, provided hand sanitizer/masks for guests, and/or distanced chairs. Every wedding had something that wasn’t really visioned for their day. BUT I love seeing that they made it work and they walked in with a positive attitude. After all, the wedding is focused on this part of the day — Two becoming one! 🙂 Today, I’m highlighting my favorite Virginia wedding ceremony moments as we continue to make our way through the “Best of 2020!”
I love photographing ceremonies for many reasons — 1) Hearing the sermons, vows, exchanging of rings bring me back to my wedding day. 🙂 2) I really enjoy hearing the personal stories that make couples, families, and friends laugh and cry! Including myself!!! HA! 3) I love catching and documenting the emotional moments, whether that is from the groom, bride, parents, or family/friends in the crowd. There are so many raw moments that candidly happen throughout the ceremony. It’s beautiful witnessing this portion of the day, devoting their love to each other at God’s altar! 🙂 Enjoy checking out some of my many favorite moments from last year! I’m looking forward to many more beautiful ceremonies this year. <3
