Working in a vacation photo shoot here in Destin, Florida can be a fun excuse to get the family together!!! And it seems to be a common thing to do. Many families admit how quickly the time had passed since last taking family portraits… And with children, that time seems to fly by even faster! When Jessica reached out to me about taking updated family portraits on Okaloosa Island in Florida, she said this was her early Mother’s Day treat! And how special is that? I cannot think of anything better than to have updated portraits with the family! In fact, maybe I can ask Alex for a beach photo shoot as my first Mother’s Day gift. 😉 HA! Jessica inspired me!!
One part of connecting with Jessica and her family here that made it so fun is that they are from my old stomping grounds in Virginia!!! In fact, they are just 30-minutes down the road from my folk’s place! I love photographing couples/families from all over, but it’s awesome knowing that I could potentially reconnect with them again in the near future. 🙂 When I got together with Jessica and her darling family to photograph their family portraits on Okaloosa Island in Florida, I could hardly wait to enjoy the beautiful beach day with them!! The evening was PERFECT. And despite the crazy amount of Holiday traffic from Easter, we didn’t have crazy crowds on the beach — Thankfully!!! It took a bit of time to warm the kids up in front of the camera, but soon enough, Morgan, Jessica’s sweet girl, started requesting for certain photos. And goodness, they all knew how to work the camera!! They made my job easy as you’ll see below!!! 🙂 Check out the beautiful evening we had together!
