FINALLY. Anna and Codey tied the knot! They patiently waited to have their dream wedding at Blue Valley Vineyard after postponing too many times to remember… But they did it and persevered through the craziness of 2020!!! I’m so glad they were patient, because their guests were ready to PARTY. HAHA! Looking through their photos is just as enjoyable as it was photographing them! 🙂
When I was hanging out with Anna, we realized it had been over TWO years when we got together for their engagement portraits! Say whatttttt? With an extra long engagement, these two were so ready to make this day become a reality. 🙂 Check out their wedding story below!!!

Prepping for the Ceremony.
I loved arriving at Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery on a Friday afternoon where things were as calm as can be! Even for the Bride!!! I feel like that can be such a rare occurrence when things are so smooth and easy going the day of a wedding. 🙂 The timeline was ideal, and the day was as beautiful as can be! After all of the months of prep, everything was paying off for Codey and Anna!
When I walked into the bridal suite, Anna was relaxing with her mom and best friend (although I SWORE they were sisters… HAHA!). Best Face Forward was working their magic while we all basically hung out and caught up. 🙂 Anna raved about her experience with The Bridal Room (I might be biased too, but they are the best), and I could hardly wait for her to put on her beautiful dress!!
While Anna was finishing getting ready for the big day, Codey was just around the corner in the barrel room. He was hanging out with a few guys relaxing and just waiting for the call to see his bride to be! After straightening up a few details, he was ready to go to the first look!!!
The First Look.
Anna tapped Codey on the shoulder with the biggest smile on her face. And when Codey turned around, he kept saying, “wow!” He had to stand back to amaze over how beautiful she looked… I mean, she looked GORGEOUS! After taking the time to admire each other and catch up from the day, we ran around Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery before wedding guests arrived. 🙂 I couldn’t get enough of the mountain views and how amazing Codey and Anna looked in front of my camera!!!
Their Best Friends.
They kept their wedding party simple — Their best friends. 🙂 Although, Anna had me fooled to think that her Maid of Honor was her sister!!! HAHA! The best part was I didn’t realize it until it was mentioned in Maggie’s speech that evening! And it’s pretty funny to think that I didn’t even think about it until the family formal portraits when I thought, “Oh, Maggie isn’t here!” HA!
I love looking through these photos because of the color of Maggie’s dress with the florals that The Posey Detail came together beautifully!!! The funny part was that this dress was actually a last-minute find because her original bridesmaid dress didn’t work out. I believe it happened for a reason because this dress was perfect! 🙂
While the girls brought on the colors, the men kept it simple and classic with black and grey suits! Although, I loved the bow tie that Codey sported. Great choice!!
The Ceremony.
Finally. The moment EVERYONE waited … for YEARS. Twinkle lights hung over the guests while the sun started to descend behind the mountains. It was ideal lighting for their ceremony photos! 🙂 The Posey Detail put together a stunning arrangement that popped from the colors of the distant mountains. Their friend, Ed, officiated the wedding, which was so personal and special to them. After sharing some funny how they met stories, exchanging of the rings/vows, they were finally announced as husband and wife!!! 🙂

Do I need to say more? This was such a fun time to celebrate with the newlyweds!!!
The Details.
Anna and Codey wanted to keep things simple and classy. While they successfully did that, I LOVE the pops of the blue cups and the watercolor floral napkins! Paired with the floral arrangements The Posey Detail created, this simple design looked so well thought out and put together. 🙂 And you gotta love the twinkle lights over the dance floor too!! And one of the best features of Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery is the view just outside of the windows. It is noticeable from across the room!!!
The Reception.
Anna and Codey came in with everyone cheering so loud for these two!! MR. & MRS.!!!! After dancing to a classic first dance song, they started greeting their guests while enjoying their scrumptious meal provided by Purple Onion. Towards the end of the dinner hour, their guests gathered on the dance floor … I could tell that this crowd was not going to disappoint!!! HAHA! After a few speeches and a special parent/grandmother dance, the Washington Talent officially opened up the dance floor! Anna and Codey’s family and friends did NOT hold back!!! It’s as if they had this energy stored for years just waiting for this celebration. HAHA! I loved it! What a perfect celebration for these two. <3
