Coffee Talk Mondays

Coffee Talk Mondays

Wow! What a fun Veteran’s Day weekend!!!! I’m grateful for the time off Alex had so we could hang out with friends and adventure. We quickly realized though, that we are getting old… After staying up until midnight drinking wine with friends, we *had* to take a nap the next day! HAHA! How did we have so much more energy in our early 20s that we could do that on a weekly basis? Now we are tired by 9 PM… HA! Anyways, this past week was a busy one! We just got back from a little weekend getaway yesterday afternoon hence why “Coffee Talk Monday” is today on Tuesday! πŸ™‚ I’m looking forward to sharing more sessions/weddings with you all this week!! Until then, check out this personal blog post! Happy Tuesday!

1
THE GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK

Alex surprised our family with a little getaway to the Great Sand Dunes National Park! I love living out here in the west with incredible National Parks within reach. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is so unique considering there are snow capped mountains right next to the sandy dunes The dunes are so tall that it’s considered the tallest in North America! Whew! We tried climbed the dunes with Jack strapped to Alex (talk about challenging in the uphill sand!) β€” We almost made it to the top except the last stretch involved your hands and knees which didn’t work with a baby, as you can imagine! Ha! Apparently during the summer time, the snow melts from the mountains and create a little beach/river through the dunes! This National Park is so unique!!!

We had a great time exploring new places and staying in a “Magic School Bus” for the night! Now that we are involved in the Airbnb world, we love supporting/experiencing other Airbnbs! This one was one of a kind, that was for sure!!! Although, it was a BIT chilly that night … 18 degrees. WHEW! We survived with a baby! There was a little wood stove which helped!!! The sunset view was incredible too!!! Definitely a time we won’t forget!!! Also, we LOVED visiting Calvillo’s Mexican Restaurant that evening β€” SO yummy!!!!

VETERAN’S DAY

We made sure to celebrate Veteran’s Day with our favorite Airman! <3 Father/son time, charcuterie board, Olive Garden (yummy breadsticks), and family time! We are so grateful for Alex, and all men/women, who serve or have served our Country!!!

HAPPY ELEVEN MONTHS, JACK!

I cannot BELIEVE Jack is 11 months old today which means we are a MONTH away from a year?! Already?! HOW?! It has been the best 11 months of our lives!!! Last night, we reflected his time with us and had to hold back all of the crying. Haha! But seriously… He’s the best! <3

OUT OF TOWN FRIENDS!!!

We LOVE when friends happen to be in the area! If only there was a way to convince all of our friends to move to the area… now that would be the dream!!! πŸ˜‰ HAHA! Jess and Joel were visiting Colorado Springs for a conference, and I could hardly wait to spend quality time with them β€”Β Talk about refreshing!!! I miss this soul so much! I’m so grateful for this sweet friendship and wish we lived closer so we could hang out more! Also, thank you Jess for taking this photo of me and Ollie!!! He’s not on the blog as often as he used to be… Jack kind of stole the show. πŸ˜‰

CHRISTMAS IS COMING FASTTTTTTT!!!!

I was looking at my calendar and realized how quickly the weekends are booking up. This coming weekend is the ONLY weekend we have in our Colorado home before Christmas! What?! πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™ So… this obviously means that we will be pulling out the Christmas decor and enjoy the season a *little* early which makes my Christmas heart HAPPY! In fact, I’m listening to Christmas music as I put together this blog post. HA! As of yesterday, I’m officially in the mode since this season is going to go by fast!!!

I glanced through these photos last night from last year β€”Β I’m even more excited to pull out the Christmas decor and decorate our Colorado home for its first Christmas!!!! πŸ™‚ So surreal I was pregnant with Jack last Christmas!

Happy Monday, everyone!!
