Erica and her husband, Toby, gathered her parents together while they were visiting Colorado, and took some family portraits at Red Rock Canyon. 🙂 We originally connected through her sisiter-in-law, Kayla, and I’m SO glad we did!!! I loved hearing that not only is Erica originally from Colorado Springs, but her and Toby currently live in Virginia!!! What a small world! But hopefully, in the near future, Erica and Toby would consider moving back here. 😉 I swear, once I moved here, I try convincing everyone to move to Colorado like it’s no big deal… HA!
Because Erica and Toby were visiting in a short amount of time, we were hopeful we wouldn’t have to postpone. But I quickly learned that Colorado’s weather is a bit unpredictable, no thanks to the mountains!! We arrived and storms blew up out of no where with no end in sight of the evening. For the fun of it, we ran out in the down pouring rain to take a quick rainbow photo! I mean, it was INCREDIBLE, because the rainbow had multiple layers of COLOR! See for yourself!!! Needless to say, we couldn’t photograph in those conditions so we returned the evening after to ensure we had a sunny session! 🙂 I’m so grateful for their flexibility because we had this beautiful evening to photograph, like you see below! Erica and Toby were so fun and her parents were as cute as can be!!! I’m so glad that Erica gave her parents an excuse to get in front of the camera. It seems like parents are more interested in portraits of their children, but it’s just as important to have portraits of the parents!! 🙂 So this session was a TREAT to document!!!
