I know it’s Tuesday, but I was too excited to make the time to finally blog a “Coffee Talk Mondays” post since December! 🙂 And after one week of being home, I’m feeling myself again! As you know from my last post, this calendar year started a little rough. I was convinced that my break needed to involve a beach landscape and sunshine. Partly true (vitamin D is essential!). However, I was chatting with some friends recently how I didn’t realize how much I needed to be home in one place after months of traveling until just a few days of being still. Even though Alex is away training, I’m taking this time to reset and get back on track with everything that slipped through the cracks over the past few months. Including taking care of myself. <3 I’ve made time to read again … go to the gym … attend church … hang out with new and old friends … get my business back in order … straighten up my house and start dreaming of plans for our newest Airbnb (our basement!!)! 🙂

SPRING IS COMING …
Even though it’s still snowing. 😉

I was walking around Trader Joes the other day (YAY for living in a place with a Trader Joes again!!), and stumbled across the fresh tulips. What a breath of fresh air in my home. <3 It reminds me of spring and spring reminds me of long outdoor walks, Easter, afternoons on the porch with a book, and new beginnings. LOVE IT!!! I wonder if I can make a weekly grocery budget include a fresh vase of tulips for the next few months? 😉

BEING PRESENT

I’ll admit that Alex is the fun dada while I’m typically the one that does all of the necessary things to keep Jack alive. HAHA! But without having Alex around, we wanted his spirit to still be here with us. So we’ve been enjoying a LOT of dance parties, playing chase, playground runs, reading time, play dates with friends, and even sledding! 🙂 I’m soaking in these moments with Jack because this time goes by so fast!

UNDISTRACTED

If you aren’t familiar with Bob Goff… You need to know him! I attended a conference back in 2012 where I got to listen to him speak. He’s not only a man of God, he’s HILARIOUS with insightful and practical life lessons that everyone can relate to. We have a couple of his books, but his newest book, Undistracted, couldn’t have come at a better time! I’m only a couple of chapters in, but I’ve already laughed smiled, and even teared up already! I cannot wait to grasp the intentions of this book!!!

Also, talk about distractions … I only have the CUTEST distraction around!! 🙂 HAHA!

COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS…

We miss Dada soooo much and cannot wait to see him again on April 2nd!!! Thank goodness the days are going by quickly during this season. <3 We cannot wait to have our family reunited!!!
