Hey, look! An indoor portrait session! I don’t typically photograph indoor photo shoots, but this was a special request. <3 Our friends, Chris and Rachael, had their baby here in Colorado Springs and hoped to have a family photographer take lifestyle portraits. The newborn season goes by so fast! 🙁 I could hardly wait to document sweet baby Dani because we joked that Jack and Dani would date in the future. 😉 He has a lot of prospects, but we approve of this family! HA! When we started planning for these photos, I knew their house would be ideal because they have great style and light! We only had 45-minutes to make these photos happen, and they exceeded my expectations! 🙂

I photographed their maternity portraits at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs earlier this year. But little did we know that sweet Dani would come shortly after!!! She’s the most precious little girl, and we ALL adore her! When I photographed my friends with their little girl, the love and bond I saw in front of my camera made me MELT. Chris and Rachael are amazing parents and embrace their roles as Dani’s parents! The sweet cuddles, nuzzles, and the way they naturally express affection made me say, “oh my gosh, guys!” out loud during their session! Haha! Alex and I love watching Chris and Rachael flourish in their marriage and parenthood! 

You would never guess it, but Dani was a little cranky toward the second half of the session. If anything, it made for extra snuggly photos. <3 Also, I love the mix of the outfits throughout these photos between the cozy clothes and then switching into a dressier option (gotta love Rachael’s Altar’d State dress!)! Despite doing 99% of my sessions outside, Chris and Rachael made me fall in love with this indoor lifestyle session! 🙂 Check it out!!!

Thank you, Chris and Rachael, for having me document this very precious season. The days/nights might be long, but the months/years go by so fast!!! I’m so grateful for our friendship and look forward to growing our little families together here in Colorado! We love you all and so happy baby Dani is in our lives! Jack cannot wait for baby time with Dani soon. 😉
