I love the Virginia countryside. The green rolling hills, sunsets, trees, and beautiful views of the Shenandoah Mountains. Whenever I visit from Colorado, there is a side of me that misses the green countryside. I have a lot of appreciation for this beautiful environment, and I’m grateful I have an excuse to visit throughout the year! Let alone document couples/families in these backdrops. When Morgan asked me to document her family again with their newest addition, Charlotte, we felt that the Inn at Little Washington area was fitting. After all, Tim and Morgan married not too far away at Marriott Ranch with a similar view. It never gets old!!
To add some variety, we started the session in their gorgeous home. I remember when they first built it, I knew they would make it a beautiful space for their growing family! Morgan has a great sense of style, so of course, there were plenty of options for spots around their home. Wyatt (their oldest) totally hammed it up in front of the camera! I loved it and could tell he was having fun, which is always a “win.” 🙂 He pulled out his favorite toys and showed off how fast he could run … and even his climbing skills on mom/dad. Haha! My favorite silly age. 🙂 He adores his baby sister, Charlotte — Between her daddy and big brother, she will have no problem being protected from the “bad boys” in the future. Ha!
I love that Tim and Morgan started as clients of mine, which quickly grew into a friendship. We’ve gone to horse shows, wineries, parks, lunch dates, and more. I’m so grateful my business brought these friends into my life, and I wish that distance was not a factor these days! I love any chance to catch up with them! I’m so glad I celebrated this season with them as a friend and a photographer. <3
