It was almost a year ago when we met in person for their engagement session on Skyline Drive. 🙂 And quickly looking back through those photos gives me all of the fall vibes I’m longing for right now. 🙂 It was super cold/windy that day, but fortunately, for their Stone Tower Winery wedding, we didn’t have to worry about that. HA! You would never guess by looking through the photos, but it was actually a hot day! Britteny and Evan were not bothered because they were SO excited to marry each other and celebrate with their family/friends. 🙂 Even though their pups couldn’t join us for this day, they celebrated on the dance floor… Just see below!!
Evan and Britteny’s Wedding Day
Evan and Britteny were blessed with sunshine and gorgeous weather, especially for an outdoor wedding. When it came to their wedding day values, it was all about the people! They wanted everyone to feel special and a part of their day. Britteny is now blessed to have three mamas (including Evan’s mom) who all loved being a part of the wedding planning process. They all came together to help Britteny get ready for her first look with Evan, and all had a special part. Even though Britteny’s grandmother couldn’t attend in person, Britteny honored her by wrapping her handmade handkerchief around the bouquet. 🙂
Their ceremony was beautiful — They specifically chose to have the event by the water and have one of their best friends officiate the wedding. They also say that Stone Tower Winery is “their winery” because it’s their favorite, and one of the first (or maybe the first) wineries they visited when they first moved to Virginia! 🙂 Evan teared up as Britteny came through the hobbit door and around the pond to the ceremony, but the big tears came during the vows. Their vows were from the heart and touching (I also choked up!!). And even though they were pronounced husband and wife in front of their family and friends, they had to have a private ceremony inside with another officiant to make it official. I’m glad they made it work so they could have their best friend there at the altar because it made it so personable!
Before their wedding reception, we ran around the property and enjoyed the most gorgeous sunset lighting!!! It was a sweet moment for them to relax together. 🙂 And once the party started, it was a blast! One of my favorite moments was watching Evan and Britteny dance to immediately Britteny and her father… but her father could dance! He looked right at Evan, and pointed at him like, “Watch this!” Haha! You’ll see Evan’s reaction below. 😉
Following dinner, everyone gathered for a big group photo and Kreider Farms ice cream! The owner was there and was proud to serve his delicious treat all the way from Pennslyvania! They all danced the rest of the wedding night at Stone Tower Winery until the last song. The room emptied, and Evan and Britteny shared a private dance before they ran through the sparklers. A perfect day from start to finish. <3
