Kenzi and Jack are SO excited to start their little family here in Colorado. I might be biased, but my husband and I believe this was one of the best places for us to raise our son. There’s so much to do in the mountains to raise an adventurous boy! I’m excited that Kenzi and Jack will also experience the boy life SOON! And better for them, they have some family here in Colorado to enjoy the baby snuggles. 🙂 To celebrate this season, we met at the Boulder Flatirons near Denver, Colorado, to photograph their maternity photos.
Admittedly, I got a little nervous because the Colorado weather is SO unpredictable. Even when the forecast seems sunny for the entire day, a random rainstorm will come out of nowhere (I now trust Kody the Denver weatherman, and not my apps!). That actually happened on my way to meet Kenzi and Jack. Fortunately for us, the rain disappeared, and the sun came out just in time for their session! It was very chilly, though, and they made these photos look like we were photographing on a warm spring day!
This world is so big, yet so small. I couldn’t believe it when Kenzi and Jack told me they went to the SAME high school as me! I guess it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise considering our connection with Jack’s mom (Hi, Karen!!!). But for all of us to come from the same small town in Virginia and now live in Colorado isn’t common. 🙂 Since they moved here under a year ago, I cannot wait to see them enjoy what Colorado has to offer, especially with their baby! The best is yet to be… 🙂
