Ian & Jessi | Boyce, Virginia Wedding Photographer

We sat down a month prior to their wedding day discussing all of their plans and details. One of the things I asked them was how they would describe their wedding “theme”. They thought about it for a second and came up with “Appalachian Chic”! I love that! Unique … different … yet, so them! After hearing everything they planned, I became excited to see how it would all come together. They had so many little unique details I’ve never photographed before. What I found most unique was the “Salt Ceremony”! Jessi is a FABULOUS and super talented writer, so I only then found out after the ceremony that she wrote the entire poem! Of course!!! I thought how awesome would it be to feature her poem and idea on the blog in the near future with you all! I just received word that she is going to be featured through a food blog writing a little something about this idea! Cannot wait to share it with you all!!! For now, I’ll just share the photos. 🙂

Hosting a wedding in your backyard is definitely not an easy task as you would think. They pulled it off! I know that stress had to have been a part of the planning, but the day was so easy going and just plain FUN! The band ROCKED it!!! The family and guests were on the dance floor from the moment it opened until the band played its last note with no problems of silence at all. Very free spirited and danced with enthusiasm, which is great for photographers! It was the perfect day for Ian and Jessi and I could not be more happy for you two!

Thank you Ian, Jessi, your family and friends for a fabulous time!!! It was an honor to photograph these special memories for you all! Beautiful from start to finish. CONGRATS!
