Jacob & Felicia | The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia Engagement

It was only a couple months ago that Jacob and Felicia met me in my home office where we chatted about the wedding and our personal lives. Soon enough, it was time for their engagement session at the gorgeous Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia! Why did they choose The Homestead as their engagement backdrop? Because this is the exact place where she said YES! 🙂 It was my first time down in Hot Springs and the drive was sooooo gorgeous going down there to meet with Jacob and Felicia! We were fortunate because all day long we did not know what the weather was going to do. Calling for a 50-60% chance of rain/thunderstorms we just had to go for it! Even with going through torrential downpours on the way down 81, it did not damper our spirits because as we arrived in Hot Springs it was bright and sunny! 🙂

These two are an INCREDIBLY sweet couple! I love how they compliment one another and make each other smile ear to ear. 🙂 Makes my “job” so enjoyable capturing these little moments between them! They are getting married next year at Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast and I cannot wait to see what their day will be like surrounded by the ones they love!!

We were set up on a blind date (a first for both of us) on January 11, 2013. We immediately knew we wanted to see each other again and we haven’t gone a day without speaking since our first date! I had moved in within 8 months, I just couldn’t handle living in different towns. 😉
On January 11th, 2014 Jacob and I took a trip to The Homestead. I have been in love with this place forever and couldn’t wait to go! We went to dinner that night, it was so nice!! After dinner we were venturing around The Homestead and once we entered the Grand Ballroom Jacob got on one knee and asked me to marry him!! 🙂 🙂 One year to to exact day we went on our first date. 🙂 <3
