Coffee Talk Mondays

Whew … Is there enough coffee to get us through today? It’s the first Monday after the Holidays and I’m struggling to get back into my routine after Alex and I snoozed through many alarms this morning. I had a wonderful and relaxing Holiday season with family, friends, Alex, and Ollie. So sad it’s done, but there’s so much to look forward to this year! I haven’t quite sat down to think through my resolutions, but I am excited to share them with you. 🙂 There’s a LOT to assimilate from this past year. Time slipped away from me the past months, but I’m looking forward to dreaming up new goals for 2020.

Now that I’m in one spot for a while, I look forward to being more consistent with blogging. There’s a LOT to share over the coming weeks and I so appreciate your loyalty by coming back here to check-in, even when I haven’t been blogging four times a week. THANK YOU! And most importantly, thank you for another wonderful year!!! I cannot wait to share more with you on my blog very soon! But for now, enjoy another “Coffee Talk Monday” as I catch up from the past few weeks. 🙂

COFFEE TALK

MOCHA MOMENTS
THE SWEETER MEMORIES

1
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLLIE & ERIC!

Ollie thought he was as special as his Uncle Eric when everyone gathered at my parent’s house to celebrate Christmas Eve (also Ollie’s Birthday). 😉 Haha! Just days prior, we celebrated my brother’s birthday with party hats and all. 🙂 Hard to believe my youngest sibling just celebrated 29 years!!

2
MY NEPH-PUP!

While visiting Virginia, I got to see my neph-pup, Zuko!! He’s such a good boy and is already sitting on command. 🙂 Ollie got to meet him for the first time and really loved having a friend who doesn’t mind getting a little rough. Although, I’m trying to teach Ollie that too “RUFF” isn’t tolerated with a puppy. 😉

3
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas looked a lot different in Florida… We bought a fake Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. Oh my. Growing up as a kid, my family cut down our own Christmas tree at a local tree farm. Over time, we decided to support the Boy Scout Troops by purchasing an already cut tree from them. Now that I’m in Florida, I bought my first fake tree. It didn’t feel like Christmas!! *I’m being dramatic.* 😉 As you can see the progression of time, I guess this happens as you get older. Ha! Also, our refrigerator is looking very festive!! I’ve never been the type to hang cards or decor on the fridge, but I have to say that seeing our families and friends every time we walk into the kitchen warm our hearts. <3

DOG DAYS

I would say that we enjoyed spending so much time with our fur-baby the past couple of weeks, but I think Ollie enjoyed it more!! 🙂 I think he is very loved. HA!

5
STAYCATION!!!!

The weekend before New Year’s Eve, Alex and I decided to go on a “STAYCATION!” I cannot say I’ve ever been on a staycation before, but we really loved clearing our calendars and taking time for each other. I fall more and more for Alex every single day, and I’m excited to see what the future has in store for us over the years to come.

On our staycation, we decided to wander around Fort Walton Beach, eat some not-so-great-burgers, enjoy beautiful sunsets, soak up some sunshine at the beach, go on 2-3 mile runs, ring in the New Year (!!!), read in our PJs in the middle of the day, and talk about our goals for each other this coming year. <3

THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

NEVER ENOUGH TIME…

I love doing life with Alex and it just seems like there’s never too much time with him. <3 I’m soaking in as much quality time with him before my next trip to Virginia next week! After this coming trip, I plan to settle down in Florida until April. 🙂 I CANNOT WAIT!!

Happy Monday, everyone!!! I wish you all an easy week to adjust back to the “real world.” <3
