Happy Coffee Talk Monday!!! How was everyone’s Easter? I’m sure SO different from the past years… By contrast, I thought about what Easter was like as a kid. Dressing up for church, watching cartoon Easter movies, eating pancakes with our church, opening Easter baskets and of course, the egg hunt!!! Do you have any fond memories? I hope the current pandemic didn’t take away any special family traditions. I cannot imagine it looking quite the same, but the truth is that there is one thing that will never change. He is risen!!!! <3 And for that, we can celebrate! π What a great way to kick off the week!
Let’s check out what happened this past week!!
COFFEE TALK
MOCHA MOMENTS
THE SWEETER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK
1
EASTER!
I loved celebrating Easter with my little family. <3 Ollie LOVED having us attend church from the comfort of our couch. He got all of the head scratches… HAHA! I also made Alex and myself “bunny butt” pancakes with the Kodiak protein pancake mix (SO GOOD!!!) and set up a little Easter egg hunt for Alex with chocolate around the house. π It was a fun day!! We ended the evening with a steak and potato dinner with a piece of our wedding cake! YUM!
2
GETTING BACK BUSINESS!
Whew… With Alex working the night shift, I found myself not in a good routine. Totally not his fault at all β But I will say that I enjoy the day shift so I can get my work done. π I found myself so much more productive last week tidying up some welcome packages and new client portal sites!! They look SO good and my 2019 couples are loving them so far!!! I’ll continue working on them over the weeks ahead and send out new links to past and current couples. π I cannot wait!

SWEET, SWEET BOY.
I’ve been seeing a lot of new dog owners during the quarantine season, which I think is so perfect! I cannot imagine my life without this guy!!! Also, don’t mind his haircut so much… HAHA! I tried my best. π Just wait till I have to cut Alex’s hair soon…. HEHE!
ESPRESSO MOMENTS
THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK
1
THE NOT SO SWEET PARTS OF OLLIE…
So you saw the cute part of Ollie above … but here is also the reality of the dog life. After I pointed out what he did wrong and how “big dogs don’t rip up couches,” he got all the way to the ground and pouted just like this for FIVE-MINUTES! How could I be upset with him for very long?! Ugh… He knows how to pull my heartstrings. Haha!
2
PHONE HABITS
Do you feel like you are picking up your phone more often since the start of this craze a month ago? Honestly, I struggled with this too β¦ Iβm not one to typically be attached to my phone. Alex can testify that I’m usually the one who is pretty careless and will leave it in random places! (It must be hereditary because my Dad does the SAME thing!)
This season is teaching me to set boundaries. I witnessed how it affected me when I gave too much of my time to my phone. And when my screen time notified me last Sunday that my phone time DOUBLED, I knew it was time to make changesβ¦
Because I recognized this unhealthy developing habit, I took charge and reduced this week down 32%! It’s not necessarily where I was a month ago, but I’m working on it, and it’s paying off in more than one way. If you’re struggling with more phone time too, you’re NOT alone!!! Remember that we need to take care of ourselves during this season. π
Happy Coffee Talk Monday, everyone!!
