Coffee Talk Mondays

Coffee Talk Mondays

Happy Coffee Talk Monday, everyone! I’m definitely dragging today… *Where’s the coffee?!* But I’m SO excited that Memorial Day weekend is just days away!!! It’s weird thinking that if it wasn’t for the pandemic, I would be in Virginia right now… But before I head back north to photograph my first summer wedding at the end of July, I’m going to soak in this time with Alex. Fortunately, he has the Holiday weekend off, so I am sooo excited to share that time with him and go on a little adventure. <3 Until then, enjoy this past week mocha and espresso moments!!

CRAB ISLAND FUN!

I know it’s different in every state, but Florida is slowly but surely reopening! So this past weekend, Alex’s coworkers from the hospital got together for a little Crab Island adventure fun! I’m so grateful for the sunshine and memories with these friends!! <3

PINECONE DOG!

There are four things in this world Ollie LOVES… people, Alex (duh!), outdoor walks, and PINECONES. We have to watch him though because it’s not good for him to destroy them. Haha! But one of his absolute favorite things to do on our daily walks is to find a pinecone and carry it around with him. Not sure why, but it has been a thing going on since moving down here almost a year ago. Haha! As you can see in the left photo below, he is really good with those puppy eyes when he wants to go outside and see his neighborhood friends so he can hear, “IT’S PINECONE DOG!!!” 😉

COOKING

I’m sure a lot of people are in the same boat during this pandemic, but I found myself in the kitchen cooking up some new dishes! Like this simple 3-ingredient pancake (1 mashed banana, one egg, and a splash of vanilla extract)! We are still BIG fans of the Kodiak protein cakes (for those who haven’t tried them, you can buy them at your local grocery store or on Amazon!), but I was pleased with this simple recipe using some of the bananas and eggs we had on hand. 🙂 Also… I must have gotten lucky when I was preparing dinner one night and found a red pepper with zero seeds??? Have you had this happen before? I’ll admit that I had to text my mom and sister to ask if it was safe to eat! HAHA!

MAY 16TH WEDDING

This super sweet couple (Lauren and Keith) planned to get married on May 16th but had to move their wedding to August due to the pandemic. I was thinking about them on Saturday wishing we were celebrating, but I cannot WAIT to see them again and celebrate this summer!!!! <3

WE MISSED OUR BEST FRIEND. <3

Working at the hospital can be very demanding and time-consuming. Fortunately, those 15-hour, 6-days a week shifts are DONE for a little while!!! 🙂 As of today, Alex is transitioning to a more suitable routine and we are so excited to have him around the house again! **Especially Ollie… He tried playing ball with Pixie yesterday and she was not very amused. 😉 HAHA!

Happy Monday, everyone!!
