Kyle and Lauren hosted their BEAUTIFUL Virginia wedding at Veritas Vineyard. It was a timeless, classic, and romantic wedding with some of their favorite people in one room! And I’m excited to share this wedding with you today!!! It’s noticeably different from what you’re used to seeing on the blog. But it was too beautiful to not share in some way!!! For privacy reasons, I won’t be sharing faces or personal information. But I’m grateful to at least feature some details to share a small taste of this celebration! 🙂
Kyle and Lauren planned to host many family and friends, near and far, earlier this year. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, they had to improvise and face challenging decisions. But with grace, they decided to postpone to August! Fast forward past the spring season into early July, Kyle and Lauren were faced again with whether or not to delay… again. They ultimately decided not to postpone their love, and I was THRILLED to hear this!!! After a two-year engagement, they were SOOOOO ready to say, “YES!” to forever! 🙂 And their day felt as though the pandemic was never a thing … Just what they deserved. <3
Check it out below!!!
A TIMELESS FLORAL + BLUE WEDDING AT VERITAS VINEYARDS, VIRGINIA.
Prepping for Forever.
The girls were found in the large bridal suite enjoying refreshments, Horderves, and music while having their hair and makeup done. There might have been little dance parties going on too, thanks to the entertainment from the flower girl! Haha! She was a HOOT with a BIG personality! I loved spending the day with these girls while they helped celebrate Lauren and Kyle. 🙂
While they finished final touch-ups, the guys were downstairs in the groom suite doing the same thing … Well, maybe minus the dance parties from a flower girl. 😉 HA! Kyle was ahead of the game and looked so dapper in his blue suit! He was smiling SOOOO big because he could hardly wait to see his bride!! As soon as he opened up his letter from Lauren, the countdown was on until the first look!
As soon as I got back upstairs, it was time to get Lauren into her dress!! I couldn’t help myself from dropping my jaw because she looked immaculate in her dress… and as soon as she put on the veil, the entire look came together! 🙂 Lauren was the iconic classic bride! As soon as her father and bridal party saw her, they all made comments that she belonged in Vogue… YES SHE DOES!!!! Haha! Lauren gathered her things and gracefully made her way downstairs to see her soon-to-be husband. <3
The First Look.
Kyle stood in front of the reception doors facing his back away from Lauren until she tapped him on the shoulder to see her. His jaw instantly dropped seeing her! He held her hand and gazed into her eyes and then down at her dress. She twirled around, showing off the details while also admiring how charming he looked. 🙂 With the mountains in the distance and rain gracefully trickling down outside, they enjoyed a little moment together before their guests arrived.
Their Best Friends.
We only had so much time before their family and friends arrived, so we gathered under the pergola for the wedding party and family formal photos. Everyone looked AMAZING, and I’m soooo glad we could run outside for some semi-outdoor photos! 🙂 And it was perfect timing too because random wine tasters were kicked off the property by this point, so we didn’t have to worry about anyone in the backdrop. While the men sported classic blue suits, the bridal party wore beautiful long, floral blue dresses. With the white and green bouquets, it balanced out Lauren’s vision perfectly!!! And as soon as we were done, the guys gathered in the groom suite to enjoy some bourbon. 🙂 While the ceremony was still 30-minutes away, the celebration was already starting!!! 🙂
The Ceremony.
Everyone arrived early for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. Have you heard of this? 🙂 So fun!!! This happened just before gathering under the covered porch for the ceremony. With the mountains stretching across the altar backdrop, family, wedding party, and Lauren made her way down the aisle to see her groom. What made this so special was having their friend officiate the ceremony! He personalized it with stories of Kyle and Lauren while keeping it easy-going and to the point. After all, they waited TWO years to get to this day!!! Between the laughs, smiles, and tears, they made it through their vows and ‘I dos!’ before the first kiss as husband and wife! They grabbed each other’s hands and walked away from the altar, ready to CELEBRATE!!!
The Details.
The candles were lit, utensils in place, and fresh salad were distributed … it was about time to let guests into the room! 🙂 But before then, I loved walking around the empty room admiring the ambiance Lauren and Kyle envisioned for their reception. It was simply romantic and classy!
Lauren, Kyle, and their awesome vendor team found delicate ways to tie in hints of blue into the reception details. As simple as this sounds, just adding blue water goblets at each plate setting and big blue sea holly flowers in the floral arrangements did the trick. And I loved how the wooden trim along the doors/windows carried down to the farmhouse tables. Nice touch of rustic! Gold accents sprinkled throughout the room by using candle holders, chargers, and table numbers. Naturally, since this wedding occurred at a vineyard, they had personalized seat assignments on little “Celebrate” corks. 🙂 Guests picked up their cork assignment and awaited for Kyle and Lauren’s grand entrance!
The Party.
Family and friends enjoyed the drinks and Horderves before being welcomed into the room. And each guest was greeted with a fresh salad at their plate. They made sure their guests were taken care of — Food and drinks were not an issue!!! 🙂 Especially when they surprised everyone with a late-night snack (fry + burger bar). Perfect!!!
As soon as Kyle and Lauren made their entrance into the room, everyone awed as they enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife. With candles lit all around the room and Kyle twirled her around, it was a beautiful sight!!! Then the waiting staff brought out a scrumptious prepped dinner for everyone to enjoy while having the time to mingle around before the next event. 🙂
Following dinner, they cut the cake and listened to hilarious and sweet toasts from their family. 🙂 It was obvious how loved and adored Kyle and Lauren are from their siblings and parents!! And Lauren’s grandparents were absolutely precious… then I saw how much they LOVE to dance!!! Oh man, the evening was a LOT of fun to photograph as I caught candids of everyone together. 🙂
Lauren was a little concerned that going from a 120+ person wedding to ~50 person wedding was going to look a little empty (as I know every couple is mildly concerned about this). Looking through their photos, this was not a problem at allllll!!! Everyone had the best time making sure Kyle and Lauren felt celebrated and crowded the dance floor the entire evening! To cap off the day, we all gathered outside to send them off through a fun sparkler exit! They might have gotten a little wet, but it didn’t matter at that point. 🙂 It was a great ending to a beautiful Virginia wedding day at Veritas Vineyard!!
Thank You!!
