BJ and Bailey met me at my family farm for their engagement session and I must say by the end of the session, I was GUSHING over the lighting!!! It could not have been more romantic! We walked around and caught up with their wedding plans as they are currently preparing for their wonderful wedding day for fall of 2014 … so it’s crazy that we have to think a year in advance, right?! 2014?! Gosh and now we are getting into fall of 2013! I have to admit, as much as I LOVE summer and going to the beach, I am SO ready for the cool weather with pumpkin spiced lattes (just had my first one yesterday … and I have to give credit to my internet for not working and forcing me to get out to Starbucks for fast and reliable internet!) … oh and pumpkin patches, apple orchards, hay rides, bon fires … sigh. 🙂 Such a wonderful time of the year! And now, I’m starting to see the atmosphere change in the background of my photos. Cannot wait to see the burst of reds, oranges, yellows POP in the next month! October is completely booked so if you are looking to doing a fall session, I still have a few spots open for sessions for November!

Getting to know these two through the session was truly a joy! They are ready to start the next chapter of their lives together, but also just take their time with planning and ENJOY the engagement period! Sometimes, we get caught in an exciting moment and forget to slow down … but remember to enjoy this time!

At the end of October BJ always has an annual halloween party, last year we decided to do a scavenger hunt instead(10-27-12). Groups were divided up and had a list of things and we had to drive places to get them. After we found everything we could in 2 hours we came back to our house and my mom and his aunt added up points. Amelia, BJs sister was announcing the winners of the game. She said “Bj and Bailey’s team won, Bailey go get your prizes for your team.” The prizes were behind BJ and I went up to him waiting for him to hand them to me. When he bent over to pick them up, or so i thought, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. After, i found out that he took his mom, sister and grandma shopping for the ring. He also went out of his way to ask my dad, and my two older brothers and my mom.
