Gosh, I’ve known Cat since she was a little freshman at JMU … and for my friends who are still there to now be GRADUATED?! What?! Where has the time gone?! I totally remember the week of graduation so vividly. Excited … nervous … spontaneous … unsure … So funny how things lay the path of your life. I NEVER pictured myself not doing graphic design work (since I did major in it and all ;). I took black and white photography back in high school because it seemed fun and my mom had all of the equipment from when she took it … and then I took more classes at JMU because it was fun! And now I felt the calling from God to pursue this as my career! So cool how everything happens for a reason! 🙂 Thought my path was laid in front of me … but He would not do that so easily! Has to keep us on our toes and to know to never be closed minded and be open to CHANGE. So speaking of CHANGE, I LOVEEEEEE my JMU!!!! We are all about CHANGE. Seriously, our generation is all about “Be the Change“! Doesn’t necessarily mean to change the world, but to accept change and be open to making the change in yours and others life. I plan on doing more community service to create that change! I loveeeee giving back to the community, or even other communities! Cat is going to do wonders after graduating! 🙂

First of all about this girl … can I PLEASEEEEEE have her HAIR?! My goodness, you are going to realize really fast that she has amazing hair and I just envy it so much! … and her eyes! She’s just gorgeous in general! So I was ecstatic when she asked me to do her JMU senior portraits as I have watched her grow into a beautiful woman who she is today. 🙂 I look forward to seeing what she does in the future as she watches her unknowing path lay in front of her and make the walk into her future. Okay … this is a funny throw back! I started playing around with the idea of portraits in college as a fun thing to do not realizing where it would take me today … and Cat was my first very first subject to play around with!!!! So here is a throwback to my very first photo shoot! Wow, so funny to think back to this moment and see where it has brought me. 🙂 Love how life works out like that!
