I love a good adventure, especially when I’m surrounded by great company! π My weekend started on Thursday when I met with Greg and Amber for their engagement portraits at Great Falls National Park! We did a little rock scrambling and hiking, and I really enjoyed their enthusiasm running around the park. I’ll be sure to share more photos from our time together on the blog this week!
After their session, I zoomed home because Alex surprised me by coming up to visit me a day early! π Ollie definitely loved the surprise too becauseΒ it seems like Alex is the cool one while I’m the disciplinary one. HA! I love seeing them together! π
I cannot believe I didn’t take any photos, but we celebrated my Dad’s 58th Birthday Friday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD!!!! He’s definitely one I look up to as he is one of the most caring, selfless men in my life. I’m very grateful to celebrate another great year with him!
Ollie’s First Hike
This adventure was my favorite one of the weekend!!! We took Ollie on his very first hike at Buzzard’s Rock in Front Royal. π He surprised us with his go-getter personality, which totally fits Alex and me! We strapped him into his big boy doggie seat belt and we were on our way!
At first, he stopped often, but it wasn’t long before he caught on! It was so cute watching him alongside us. π Definitely a great way to leash train!!!
There were some moments when we had to carry him over rocks or didn’t want him to exhaust himself too much since he’s still a little pup and it was a 4-mile hike. π Look at that belly on him in that photo with Alex!! HAHA!
Then we made it to the top and enjoyed a yummy lunch with a view! π Ollie really enjoyed his peanut butter treat too!
The car ride home was a guaranteed nap from Ollie! I loved looking back to see him snuggled right next to his snuggle buddy. π What a cutie pie! Before driving all the way home, we enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream date with Alex’s family! Ollie’s first hike was a huge success and I cannot wait for many more adventures in the future!!!
