This season is so good for the heart and soul. <3 I’ve had editing off my plate for two weeks now after photographing Colin and Nicole’s wedding last month, so it’s the season to work on behind the scenes projects. My favorite!!!! Except taxes … they are never fun … BUT I finished balancing out my expense report while I caught up with The Bachelor. 🙂 That doesn’t sound bad after all. Haha! That is absolutely a “mocha moment!” I also worked on shutting down my old blog website now that this site has been consistently running for over a year. 🙂 YES! Even though you cannot see everything that I’m working on behind the scenes, I’m moving that needle forward in my business one day at a time. 🙂
This week is a short one as Alex and I prepare for a weekend trip to Tampa to visit my grandparents and explore! 🙂 We were really hoping to fly out west for an incredible adventure but missed our opportunity. But we are looking forward to spending some quality time with loved ones and each other. If you have any favorite must do/see/eat in Tampa, I would love to hear! Until then, there’s a lot to conquer the next few days! 🙂
Check out what else happened this past week!

SIMPLIFIED GROCERY SHOPPING
If you read my recent post about my 2020 goals, you probably saw that I’m trying to be more efficient. One way I decided to do this is by meal planning the entire month and buying an entire month of groceries online. I’m HOOKED. It was soooo easy and fast! And my shopping cart items are saved so the next time I shop online, I can simply go into my past order and reorder everything again!
Alex and I are pretty simple when it comes to our breakfast and lunches as we eat the same types of food every day. It’s pretty predictable to figure out how much we need to supply to last us for the entire month and keep some things like bread and meat in the freezer that might go bad before the end of the month. I just have to make quick stops once a week after the gym and pick up perishable items like vegetables and fruits.
By meal planning an entire month in advance, I’m able to also mix in a variety of meals that I haven’t made before. 🙂 I plan to mix in special family recipes as well as easy crockpot/instant pot meals! **If you want to do something like this, I made a dinner calendar on my Google Calendar and it’s super flexible!! Like yesterday, I originally had ribs, but we had plenty of chicken curry last week to extend it another two days which pushed beef stroganoff to this week. Now we have ingredients for ribs to do that dinner next month! 🙂 Oh, and you might see a trend below … But Friday is our traditional pizza date night. 🙂

MARRIAGE IS THE BEST!
“What’s yours is mine” I’ve heard in the past … Well, I’m kind of liking this concept. 😉 Especially when it comes to Alex’s lounge clothing and hats. Speaking of lounging … I guess I can share Alex with Ollie. 😉 HAHA! GOSH. Obsessed much???

RELAXING SUNDAYS
Considering yesterday was Alex’s one day off, we decided to take it easy. 🙂 This included walks around the neighborhood, attending church, planning our next trip, watching the Oscars, making a yummy beef stroganoff dinner, and playing chess … Alex somehow won. 😉 HA! And down here in Florida, the temps are warming back up which means it’s window opening season! Love that fresh air inside!!

BEST MOCHA YET!
I am pretty proud of myself because I made my personal best salted caramel mocha coffee yesterday for Alex and me! The key is to sprinkle/mix in sea salt in addition to the salted caramel syrup! YUMMMM!!!! Lately, I’ve been on a tea kick, but I love a good mocha! 🙂

WAS IT THE WORK OUT OR MY AGE?
I’ve been hitting the gym hard five days a week and finally hit a point. My upper back has a knot that hasn’t dissolved. But thanks to Alex and a little Advil, it’s more manageable. 🙂 No one said that growing up was easy. HA!
Happy Monday, everyone!!
