I was so excited to host my first Colorado Springs Fall Minis in Colorado this year! Typically, I host annual Christmas minis, but with the aspens peaking, it was the perfect opportunity to document the mountains and color all at once! 🙂 I had a jam-packed schedule with weddings/sessions in Virginia earlier in October, cutting it close to the end of the fall season in Colorado. Of course, it’s just the start of fall in Virginia too. Haha! But after seeing the trends of the trees in Colorado Springs from the previous year, I knew I had a little wiggle room to make fall minis happen. After I finished my business trip in Virginia, I flew back to Colorado Springs, excited to see the colors all over the city!
I had families in Colorado Springs come to the Air Force Academy to photograph their family portraits. It was the perfect backdrop with a mixture of water, mountains, and colorful trees! If we waited any longer to take these photos, I’m not sure we would’ve ended up with the yellow trees because a wind storm came through the day before the mini sessions. It blew off a lot of the leaves from the trees around the city that weekend!
I loved meeting so many new faces that weekend!! 🙂 During the short 15 minutes, I could’ve easily photographed them well beyond our time together! It was such a fun, beautiful evening!!! Check out these joy-filled family photos below with some real-life moments (Lol!) — I cannot wait to host fall minis again next year!!

Thanks to everyone who came out to take photos during this beautiful time of the year in Colorado Springs!!! 🙂 It was so much fun meeting so many new faces and documenting joyful moments as well as the “real life” too! Haha!
