FOR ONCE this past weekend. Sunshine! Today? Back to rain for another week. What a teaser … Although, I’m sure our plants and grass are loving this spring weather. My sod definitely needs it! My lawn is looking HORRIBLE so I’m hoping to find a solution because it’s not water the grass needs. Lots of work to be done this week. 🙂
Yesterday, my family and I celebrated my beautiful mother on Mother’s Day. We spent the morning at Prince Michel Winery for a fantastic brunch which then led to my siblings and I teaching my parents how to play corn hole. Hahaha! My dad was actually pretty good! 🙂 After soaking up some sun for a little bit, my sister, mom and some family friends ventured to the Little Washington Winery for some wine and cheese. Let’s not forget about some incredible views! It made me want to sell my house and buy one out there! After eating my weight in cheese, I’m seriously cheesed out!! Never thought I would see the day come where I don’t want to eat cheese. Overall, it was a great celebration of the day with my mother but I could not help but to think about my friends. I pray this …
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-8
Some of my dear friends went through some tragic situations last year. Mother’s Day has an entirely different perspective to many. This year was a mixture of celebration and mourning for them and I could not help but to feel that pain again for them yesterday. I pray that God has even bigger plans for them this year. <3 It was the hardest thing seeing my friends go through that kind of hurt … but I have seen them come out of the darkness with trust in God’s big plan. THAT is empowering. If you have a friend who went through a loss last year, pray this verse Philippians 4:6-8 for them. <3 Whether your loved one is here or not, Happy Mother’s Day to all mother’s out there! Wish I could give you the biggest hug!!!
On the blog this week, I will be sharing Bobby and Casey’s beautiful wedding day! Although, my feet were SO sore from all of the running around, it was worth it because it was one heck of a party!!! 😉 Cannot wait to share more soon from the lovely Brandy Hill Farm!
Happy Monday everyone!!! Let’s make it a great start to the work week!
